BACK HOME

Minturn is the historic town of the Vail Valley. The arrival of the Denver Rio Grand in 1887 transformed Minturn from a small ranching settlement into a bustling railroad and mining town. The development of Vail resort has enabled Minturn to emerge as a thriving mountain community offering the finest in outdoor recreation. A stroll down Main Street reveals small town charm reminiscent of the "old west".

Offering several nearby trail heads, Minturn is an excellent starting point to explore both the Holy Cross Wilderness Area and White River National Forest. Quickly escape into nature by either hiking, mountain biking or snowshoeing. Of course the primary winter activity is the world class skiing at Vail and Beaver Creek resorts.

Whether your ideal vacation consists of snuggling up by the fire with a good book, meandering through an alpine meadow in search of wildflowers or skiing home on the famous Minturn Mile back country trail, innkeepers Susan and Matt Morrison look forward to sharing the secrets of the Vail Valley with you, helping to make your stay at The Minturn Inn a memorable one. Please  come visit and experience some Rocky Mountain hospitality.
